Instructional/Learning Resource Center Technologist (Located in Scottsbluff, NE)

Position Summary
Provide expert level support for the College of Nursing West Nebraska Division regarding online and offline multimedia instructional materials, including technology‑enhanced and distance education technologies and coordination of onsite learning resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for multimedia and online network materials.
- Assist users with computer hardware and software.
- Develop plans for computer technology use.
- Deliver strong customer service, resolving dissatisfied customers positively.
- Maintain knowledge of campus‑supported hardware such as Dell PCs.
- Stay updated on new technologies and present creative ideas to faculty.
- Operate audiovisual equipment and media projectors for showing media.
- Organize and retrieve learning materials.
- Travel to other College sites and occasional conference locations as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Communications, Biomedical Communications, Media Production, or related field. - Experience:
1 year with multimedia and online network materials, user support, computer hardware and software (may consider five years related education/experience). - Computer Applications:
Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint. - Knowledge of network connections, campus‑supported hardware, audiovisual equipment, and media projectors.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, problem‑solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and accept feedback.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education:
Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related. - Experience:
Working in an academic setting, extensive experience with computer hardware and software. - Preferred computer applications:
Microsoft Access, Exchange, Project, SAP, Outlook, Publisher, Page Maker, SAS, Front Page, SPSS, Blackboard, Adobe Photoshop, Perception, MEDS Learning Systems, Via Video. - Preferred additional knowledge:
Microcomputer experience, proficiency with online instructional materials, computer languages, programming, Flash, videotaping software, streaming media production, and television technology.
Compensation
Salary: $22.404 – $33.606 per hour.
