Custodian​/Housekeeper - Western Nebraska Veterans Scottsbluff

Base pay range: $16.52/hr – $16.52/hr

Western Nebraska Veterans Home is seeking an individual to work in a beautiful long‑term care facility and maintain high standards of sanitation required in a healthcare environment.

• Full‑time
• 8‑hour shift – 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; set schedule, work every other weekend
• $16.52/hour PLUS $3/hour differential for every hour worked; equals $19.52 per hour

• Clean members' rooms, restrooms and facility offices, including walls, windows and ceilings
• Remove laundry from living areas; assist with delivery of clean linen and personals to residents' rooms
• Empty trash containers; perform carpet care, vacuuming, spot removal and shampooing; mop and other floor cleaning duties as assigned

• Minimum qualifications:
  
  no specific education, training or experience required for entry to this class
• Preferred qualifications:
  
  working knowledge and cleaning experience in commercial business, hospital, medical building or long‑term care facility; pre‑employment background check and drug screening required
• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Knowledge of facility standards of sanitation and cleaning procedures
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions; operate and maintain cleaning equipment; mix cleaning solutions in proper proportions
• Ability to operate heavy commercial cleaning equipment and move/lift up to 75 lbs.; push/pull up to 50 lbsli>
