SummaryThe Director of Clinical Technology & Adoption provides strategic leadership for clinical technology, informatics, analytics, and digital transformation across the Health System. Partners with clinical, operational, and executive leaders to optimize technology adoption, EHR performance, data-driven decision-making, and organizational change. Oversees technology governance, implementation, vendor management, and adoption strategies to improve patient care, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and measurable organizational outcomes in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Cozad Community Health System.

- Provides leadership for clinical technology, digital transformation, and technology adoption initiatives across the organization, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, patient care priorities, and operational objectives.
- Directs the governance, optimization, implementation, and ongoing support of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other clinical technology systems, including prioritization of enhancements, upgrades, testing, and change management activities.
- Partners with clinical, operational, financial, and executive leaders to improve workflows, increase technology utilization, and drive measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, patient safety, and user satisfaction.
- Oversees the organization's clinical technology project portfolio, ensuring projects are appropriately prioritized, managed, implemented, and evaluated for operational and financial impact.
- Serves as the primary liaison with technology vendors, consultants, and strategic partners, managing relationships, contracts, performance expectations, and technology planning.
- Collaborates with information technology and security partners to support cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, business continuity planning, and information governance activities.
- Develops and leads organizational training, education, superuser, and adoption programs to ensure staff and providers effectively utilize technology and achieve desired outcomes.
- Develops and maintains policies and procedures pertaining to use of health information systems.
- Follows all HIPAA guidelines and promotes and ensures patient safety.
- Fulfills mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive and professional environment.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Manages employee in the Clinical IT department, as well as vendor relationships. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in a medical related field, or a related business field. Previous clinical experience required. Proficient in navigating and learning computers and EHR experience required.
Licensure/CertificationRequired to have or be able to obtain related certification. Examples:
Certified Professional In Electronic Health Records (CPEHR) or Certified Associate in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CAHIMS)
Basic Life Support (CPR)
Valid Driver’s License
