Founded in 1893, Pleasant View Bible Church is an independent Bible church in the heart of rural Nebraska.

We draw people from a twenty-mile radius.

Our mission is to honor and glorify God and to fulfill the Great Commission by winning, building and equipping individuals to become effective disciples of Jesus Christ.

Our theology is conservative, reformed in soteriology, and observing believer’s baptism.

The Senior Pastor will serve as an associate for a period agreed upon with the current Senior Pastor and elders.

He will then transition to the role of Senior Pastor.

This will allow him to get to know the congregation prior to assuming his full duties.

During this initial transition period, the Pastor will:

Develop and sustain a ministry to young parents.

Share preaching duties with the current Senior Pastor on a regularly scheduled basis.

Be involved in one or more of the teaching ministries of the church.

Engage in a visitation ministry, endeavoring to visit each family unit of the church.

Help to develop an evangelistic outreach program to the community.

Assist the Senior Pastor with communion, marriage ceremonies, funerals, etc.

Must have a seminary degree, or at least close to obtaining a degree.

It is not necessary to be ordained at this point, but would need to prior to becoming senior pastor.

Would need to be in line with our statement of faith and compatible with the Senior Pastor and elders.

Have a heart for rural ministry.

Ministry experience is preferred.
