Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Scottsbluff, NE. This role at Regional West is designed for a clinician who excels in a fast-paced maternal-child health environment. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum stages, ensuring a safe and supportive experience for both mother and child.

Required Qualifications:
Please note:
Candidates who do not meet 100% of the following criteria will not be considered for this role.
Licensure:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the State of Nebraska (or active Compact/Multistate license).
Certifications:
Current ACLS, NRP, and BLS certifications are strictly required.
Experience:
3 years - Verifiable, specialized experience in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, and circulation is mandatory.
Performer Standards:
Proven ability to meet high clinical performance expectations.
Traveler Status:
Candidate must be a non-local traveler (typically residing more than 50 miles from the facility).
Key Responsibilities:
Maternal-Child Care:
Provide expert nursing care during active labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
Circulation Duties:
Act as a circulator during obstetric surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and coordinating with the surgical team.
Clinical Monitoring:
Closely monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, interpreting fetal heart rate patterns and responding immediately to any signs of distress.
Postpartum Support:
Deliver physical and emotional support to new mothers, including breastfeeding assistance and recovery monitoring.
Collaboration:
Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Important Assignment Notes:
Performance Expectations:
Regional West operates on a Low/Mid/High performer model. It is critical to note that if a traveler is determined not to be meeting these high expectations, the contract will be terminated immediately.
Preferred Experience:
NICU experience is considered a strong plus. Additional preference is given to candidates with experience scrubbing in for C-sections or pediatric nursing.
Schedule:
Consistent night shifts from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
Scope of Work:
The clinician must be adaptable to additional duties within the maternal-child units as requested by leadership to meet patient care needs.
