Registered Nurse Acute Care RN

This full-time, permanent medical-surgical RN role provides direct patient care in an inpatient hospital setting, developing individualized care plans and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients in an inpatient hospital setting
• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized plans of care
• Administer medications, treatments, IV therapy, and other prescribed interventions
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
• Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, ancillary departments, and other healthcare professionals
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
  
  Maintain compliance with facility policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety guidelines
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the hospitalization process

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Active Nebraska RN license or ability to obtain Nebraska licensure
• Compact RN license accepted when applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• New graduate RNs may be considered depending on facility needs
• Strong assessment, communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills

• ACLS certification preferred or may be required based on facility standards
• Previous Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred
