Butcher Block Clerk - Main Street Market

We are looking for a full-time Butcher Block Clerk to join the meat department at Main Street Market in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The Butcher Block Clerk will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting the right cuts of meat and poultry in the meat department. The Clerk will ensure the butcher block is stocked with fresh, high quality meats and poultry, and will assist customers with any special requests.

• Customer service and assistance
• Grind, wrap, weight and price product accordingly.
• Fill lunch meat case with back stock and new product.
• Keep shelves clean and damaged & out of date product off of sale floor.
• Meet company productivity standards for department.
• Responsible for breaking down equipment, cleaning and sanitizing equipment and cutting room.
• Keep back stock organized and back room clean.
• Ensure that all ad items, in-store specials are full at all times and that department is faced on a daily as needed basis.
• Customer service and 10' rule enforcement.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Butcher Block Clerk should be friendly and outgoing, with excellent customer service skills. They should be detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the Clerk should have an understanding of the various cuts of meat and poultry, as well as the ability to provide customers with accurate information and education. However, no experience is necessary; we will train the right candidate.
