Manufacturing Engineer III

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer III is a problem‑solver, facilitator, change agent, innovator, designer and project manager. Responsible for performing these functions on issues as they are assigned (or arise) in the designated area.

• Lead the successful completion of projects which are broad in nature. Define the project, set goals, and communicate to all affected parties clearly and concisely.
• Evaluate needs, analyze options, develop a plan, develop the Appropriation Request (AR), and manage implementation of the project until completion within the allotted time frame.
• Assist, guide, and mentor other engineers and support personnel (Technicians, Maintenance, Tool and Die, etc.) in complex technical matters.
• Develop, install and maintain optimum processes for safe manufacture of quality product in a productive manner.
• Develop procedures and provide training on new processes, tools and equipment, including preventative and predictive maintenance requirements and mechanical evaluation of processes and equipment.
• Coordinate successful corrections to production problems using sound manufacturing engineering problem‑solving techniques and practices.
• Develop alternate methods or processes to allow emergency continued production, evaluating solutions using sound engineering economy techniques.
• Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
• Work and interact well with others.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another related field. Mechanical engineering preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of four (4) years of applicable engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Required Skills:
  
  Intermediate Microsoft Office skills; good written and oral communication; excellent organizational skills; ability to develop plans and set priorities with a sense of urgency; ability to make timely decisions; average to above average PC skills.

  Knowledge of machine programming systems; knowledge of data systems.
• Special Demands:
  Some travel required.

Monday through Friday onsite. Optional alternative work schedule includes longer work days with a rotational schedule of every other Friday off. Additional limited off‑hour calls may be needed to provide support across three shifts.
