Shipping Receiving Material Handler – Night Shift
Scottsboro, AL
3rd Shift, 10am – 6am; $2 shift differential for night shift.
Base hourly rate: $23.08
Position OverviewWorking from verbal, written, or computer-generated instructions and according to established operating procedures.
Responsibilities- Unloads all incoming materials essential for total roofing package
- Helps coordinate other activities associated with service quality
- Unload incoming and load outbound trucks
- Complete shipping and receiving paperwork relating to materials as required
- Participate in physical inventory counts
- Loads and unloads all materials essential for shipping out roof package
- Verify orders prior to loading
- Pick and organize all items required for shipping orders
- Remove pallets of goods from inventory racking system
- Operate forklift to move materials as required
- Must be willing to assist others when needs arise
- Inspects mobile equipment and completes the appropriate checklist(s)
- Follows JSA's, uses safe work practices, and always reports hazardous conditions
- Wear protective clothing and equipment as required
- Follow all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies
- Must be able to tolerate heat/cold, outdoor conditions, good vision, hearing, speaking, and finger dexterity
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and forklift
- Ability to set up and follow simple work plans and communicate with co-workers
- Basic computer skills
- Must pass forklift and all plant related safety program tests including handling of hazardous (Hazmat) products
