Jewelry Sales Team Member

Overview

Basic Function: This position requires a smile, a positive, friendly presence while interacting with guests on the retail sales floor. A basic understanding of jewelry terminology and sales techniques is desirable, but not required to apply for this position. The main function is to interact with guests and ensure an exceptional shopping experience by identifying their jewelry wants, interests, and needs.

A professional appearance is required.

• Provide exceptional guest service in a one-on-one sales environment and make each guest feel welcome while learning their jewelry wants, interests, and needs.
• Become familiar with and willing to learn different types of jewelry, including variations in precious metals and stones (e.g., gold, silver, platinum).
• Stay knowledgeable about current trends and designs in fine and costume jewelry, as instructed by the Jewelry Manager.
• Locate items of interest for guests and maintain awareness of merchandise locations.
• Understand basic cashier functions and operate the cash register as required.
• Keep merchandise organized, clean, and properly displayed by following weekly task guidelines.
• Keep showcases stocked and floor space replenished with costume jewelry to support a positive guest experience.
• Maintain complete stock of paper supplies (e.g., bags, boxes, tissue paper).
• Report suspicious activity or shoplifting to the Asset Protection Manager promptly.
• Report merchandise issues or losses to the Jewelry Manager.
• Perform all other tasks assigned by management.

• Light to moderate lifting is required.
• Repetitive motion is required.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

• Up to 28 hours per week with varying shifts, including early start (as early as 7:00 am) and late finish (as late as 8:30 pm). Flexibility in scheduling is required.
• Saturdays are required.
• All major holidays are required, excluding Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
• Wednesday and Friday of Thanksgiving Week are required.
• Annual Winter & Ski Event (1st Saturday in November) is required.

Reports directly to the Jewelry Dept Manager.
