What you will be doing:
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Actively manage accounts payable process
- Review invoice support to ensure accuracy and completeness and obtain required approvals
- Organize invoices, track status, communicate internally and externally, and prepare supporting allocation schedules
- Set up new project codes and vendors in Yardi
- Process payments in accounting software or banking platforms
- Communicate with vendors
- Assist with the annual 1099 process
- Allocate shared costs between multiple projects (travel, overhead, etc.) and prepare reimbursement invoices including supporting documentation
- Review allocation of personnel travel and set up employee reimbursements
- Follow up and resolve questions with internal team members timely
- Assist with financial reporting process
- Reconcile intercompany transactions
- Reconcile bank activity
- Post payroll entries
- Maintain supporting account schedules (such as prepaid details) and prepare necessary journal entries for month end reporting
- Assist with annual audit
- Upload documents and transactions to investor portal
- Other duties as assigned, supporting Fund Accounting and reporting responsibilities
- 1-2 years’ experience in an Accounting or Public Accounting position or recent Accounting or Finance graduate
- Experience with accounting software (Yardi preferred)
- Effective communication – verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proactively resolve questions and problem-solve
- Technical knowledge and application required for Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).
