Candidate Summary

We're looking for a sharp, detail-oriented staff accountant to join our team! You'll handle day-to-day accounting tasks like reconciliations, invoices, and tax filings—keeping our financials tight as we grow. Quick Books and Net Suite experience is a must, along with solid Excel skills. If you love bringing order to the numbers and can juggle deadlines without breaking a sweat, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.
  • Complete month-end closing tasks in coordination with the Controller.
  • Process invoices and reconcile bank transactions in Quick Books.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and bank accounts.
  • Research and assist with setup of new museums (business licenses, sales tax, property tax, and local and state tax requirements).
  • Reconcile Workday payroll reports and ADP payments with bank activity to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage depreciation schedules.
  • Compare budgets to actuals and flag discrepancies.
  • Process intercompany transfers.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll and sales tax regulations; file returns as required.
  • Review company credit card transactions to ensure policy compliance.
  • Process credit applications and support annual audit preparation.
  • Uphold internal accounting procedures and perform additional administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field, or three years of accounting experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Quick Books and Net Suite experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard, use a laptop and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to properly express oneself, exchange information, communicate and converse with diverse cultures, races, and sexes.
  • Must be able to use sight to detect, determine, perceive, observe, inspect, and assess situations.
Salary,

Perks and Benefits
