Salary Range: $23.00 to $25.00 hourly
GURSTEL LAW FIRM, P.C. – SENIOR ACCOUNTING CLERKJOB SUMMARYWe are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounting Clerk to oversee complex financial record-keeping and data analysis. In this role, you will bridge daily transactional accounting with high-level reporting and audit preparation. You will ensure accuracy in our collection systems, collaborate with third-party vendors, and provide management with actionable financial insights.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Data Management: Apply fees and costs accurately within collection software in a timely manner.
- Audit Support: Extract, verify, and organize financial documentation for internal and external audits.
- Reporting & Vendors: Export and reconcile reports from collection software and bank portals for third-party vendors.
- Management Support: Compile financial data and prepare reports, statements, and projections for leadership.
- Communication: Inform management immediately of any issues, developments, discrepancies, or system updates.
- General Support: Perform all other administrative and accounting duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field combined with 1–3 years of progressive accounting experience; or an equivalent blend of education and professional experience demonstrating comparable knowledge, skills, and technical abilities.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel formulas, Word, Outlook) and standard collection/accounting software. - Data Entry: Proven typing speed of 50+ words per minute with high accuracy.
- Analytical Thinking:
Strong ability to analyze financial data, solve problems, and resolve discrepancies quickly. - Soft Skills: Dependable work ethic, strict attention to detail, and a commitment to quality service.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Work Management: Excellent multitasking skills, ability to hit tight deadlines, and willingness to work a flexible schedule when needed.
- Confidentiality: Proven ability to handle sensitive financial and personal data with complete confidentiality.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Regular use of basic office hardware including scanners, copiers, and printers.

This position requires up to 0-5% travel. Travel excludes local commute.
