Compensation: $90,000 Base Salary

About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join a growing manufacturing organization in Scottsdale, AZ. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and has experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, month‑end close, cost accounting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and committed to maintaining accurate financial records while supporting daily accounting operations and continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment application, collections, and customer account reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable, verify invoices, reconcile vendor statements, and maintain vendor records.
- Record daily cash, ACH, wire, and credit card transactions while reconciling bank activity.
- Monitor aging reports and communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances.
- Assist with month‑end close, journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and inventory costing.
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP.
- Support expense reporting, corporate card reconciliations, and employee reimbursements.
- Analyze product and manufacturing costs, identifying trends and opportunities for cost savings.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare reports for management and assist with various accounting and finance projects.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support business operations and financial objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 4 years of accounting experience, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Cost Accounting in manufacturing or food and beverage industry preferred.
- Experience with month‑end close and account reconciliations preferred.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Quick Books, Net Suite, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Experience in manufacturing or inventory‑based accounting.
- Knowledge of standard costing, inventory valuation, and cost accounting principles.
- Experience working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.
