LHH Recruitment is working with our client who is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team in Scottsdale. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience processing high-volume, multi-state payroll. This role is fully onsite.

• Process bi-weekly payroll for more than 1,000 employees across multiple states
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Review payroll data for accuracy, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefit changes
• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Process garnishments, wage assignments, and other payroll deductions
• Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
• Partner with Human Resources and Accounting to ensure payroll data is accurate and up to date
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and payroll audits
• Prepare payroll reports and assist with reconciliations as needed

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience
• Experience processing payroll for 1,000+ employees
• Strong multi-state payroll experience required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis
• Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and wage and hour laws
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
• CPP certification is a plus but not required
• Experience with major payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, Workday, or similar is preferred
