Accounting Manager

A growing organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead key accounting operations and support the continued development of its finance function.

This is a hands-on leadership position combining technical accounting, month-end close, team management, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger and day-to-day accounting activities.
• Manage portions of the close process and review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee AP and other assigned accounting functions.
• Maintain strong accounting controls and processes.
• Support financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members.
• Partner with other departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Active CPA preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP, general ledger, close, and internal-controls knowledge.
• Experience reviewing accounting work prepared by staff.
• Strong Excel and systems proficiency.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate effectively in a growing environment.
