Role OverviewMartori Farms is seeking a Senior Manager, Produce Analytics to lead retail POS and syndicated data analysis (Circana / IRI) for fresh produce categories. This role will translate data into commercial decisions
, supporting pricing strategy, line reviews, customer negotiations, and volume planning.
This is not a dashboard‑only role. The ideal candidate is comfortable sitting with Sales and Leadership, explaining what the data means
, and recommending clear actions.
- Lead analysis of Circana / IRI POS data for fresh produce (melons and adjacent categories)
- Analyze price, distribution, velocity, and share at national and regional levels
- Adjust analyses for in‑stock variability, seasonality, and transition periods
- Identify pricing elasticity, competitive dynamics, and regional differences
- Support customer line reviews (especially Walmart) with concise, decision‑oriented insights
- Partner with Sales to evaluate: price changes and EDLP strategies
- Volume shifts and distribution changes
- Promotional vs non‑promotional performance (where applicable)
- Build narratives that connect data to merchant scorecard metrics (in‑stocks, OTIF, continuity)
- Design and maintain core pricing and performance views (not over‑engineered dashboards)
- Define best practices for using syndicated data in fresh produce
- Partner with internal stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Finance) to ensure insights are actionable
- 6–10+ years of experience in retail analytics, pricing, or commercial analytics
- Hands‑on Circana / IRI experience (required)
- Experience analyzing fresh produce or fresh perimeter categories
- Strong understanding of:
- seasonality and supply transitions
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to sales leaders and retail customers
- Advanced Excel required;
PowerPoint proficiency required - SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools are a plus (but not required)
- Produce or fresh food supplier (berries, melons, salads, fresh veg)
- Circana / Nielsen
IQ consultant supporting grocery or fresh categories - Retail analytics role at a major grocer or club retailer
- Sales teams trust your recommendations
