ASU EdPlus is a dynamic unit of Arizona State University focused on the design and scalable delivery of digital teaching and learning models to increase student success and reduce barriers to achievement in higher education. We advance the economic, social, cultural, and overall health of the local, national, and international communities served by ASU.
We're seeking a Grant Proposal and Program Specialist to support the efforts of the Innovation and Emerging Initiatives (IEI) team. IEI is a unique hub of global grants-funded projects, edtech innovations, data for research projects, and innovative partnerships. Every day you will make a difference in the lives of others by preparing grant applications, narratives, and stakeholder presentation materials that align with requirements and guidelines.
Additionally, you will work across a portfolio of special projects (domestic and international) to support project launch, administration, facilitation, development of key deliverables, and ensure ongoing success of the projects.
NOTE:
This is an in-person, hybrid position. You must be able to reliably commute to Scottsdale AZ.
Supports funding activities and development of innovative project proposals:
- Develops and delivers written content for grant proposals; guides overall proposal development.
- Supports the coordination of teams responsible for co-writing and co-developing grant proposals, including the preparation of proposal graphics to ensure timelines and standards are met.
- Researches funding opportunities; tracks grant applications, awards, and related communications; prepares a variety of periodic status reports.
- Curates and edits existing proposal content to ensure compliance with documented funder requirements and guidelines.
Assists with emerging initiatives/project set-up and ongoing success:
- Coordinates logistics, scheduling, and participant communications to support a variety of special projects.
- Establishes and monitors project expectations; works to support project success by completing necessary tasks and developing key deliverables.
- Leverages generative AI to automate, accelerate, and improve the quality of writing, research, analysis, and project management workflows.
- Responds to inquiries regarding project status; builds, develops, and maintains relationships vital to project success.
- Interacts and maintains liaison with students, faculty, staff, and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.
- Assists in the development and facilitation of design thinking sessions for project teams and stakeholders; incorporates session deliverables into project planning documents and communicates applicable action items with project teams.
Assumes or coordinates other duties or projects as assigned or directed.
NOTE:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Journalism, Communications or closely related field.
- Demonstrated strength and excellence in business/grants writing.
- Demonstrated comfort with public speaking and leading in a business setting.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with others performing work in a team environment.
- Evidence of excellent organizational abilities and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize work across diverse teams (staff, faculty, vendors/partners) to deliver outcomes on time and within scope.
- Demonstrated ability to implement training, session reviews, and follow-up procedures.
- Evidence of strong communication skills in visual, oral, and written forms, including executive-ready summaries and stakeholder updates.
- Demonstrated self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity
NOTE:

$55,000 – $70,000 per year; DOE
This is a grant-funded position. Continuation is contingent on future grant funding.
