Position: Assistant Business Operations Manager (Membership)

Desert Mountain Club is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional to serve as our Assistant Business Operations Manager (Membership).

In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting the Membership Operations Manager. This position is a back-office business operations role focused on accounting transactions, reconciliations, reporting, database administration, contract and transaction documentation, escrow coordination, and data analysis. The successful candidate will spend the majority of each day working with financial records, spreadsheets, databases, reports, membership transactions, and operational data rather than in a customer-facing capacity.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, business operations, financial administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, data validation, charts/graphs, reconciliation schedules, financial reporting worksheets, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Exceptional professional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to independently prepare clear and accurate business correspondence, reports, agreements, presentations, and operational documentation with minimal editing.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in a process-driven and fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, take initiative, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of database structures and accounting systems.
  • Valid driver’s license meeting Club insurability standards required

Responsibilities:

  • Process and maintain member accounting transactions, including dues, payments, transfers, pr orations, and automatic payments.
  • Update and maintain membership databases, records, and transaction logs.
  • Coordinate membership transfers, resignations, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly and quarterly membership and financial reports.
