Heavy Civil Construction Experienced Project Engineer
Rummel Construction, Inc. is a 100% employee‑owned heavy civil general contractor serving the Southwest U.S. since 1996. Responsibilities- Creating and maintaining project budgets
- Developing and updating project schedules
- Processing change orders and managing scope changes
- Managing subcontractors, including ordering materials and scheduling work
- Writing purchase agreements and purchase orders
- Tracking material quantities and ensuring timely delivery
- Communicating with owners and inspectors
- Collaborating with Rummel project managers and administrative staff
- Acting as the hub of information between field and office teams
- College degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong personal organizational skills and time‑management ability
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Project Engineer in heavy civil construction
- Safe operation of a company vehicle required, with a clean driving record
- Ability to manage priorities and support field superintendents on site
This position is located in Arizona. Relocation is available for candidates applying from out of state. The role is safety‑sensitive and requires a clean driving record.
