Experienced Asphalt Screed Operator

Position Overview

Rummel Construction is seeking an experienced Asphalt Screed Operator. The role involves operating heavy construction equipment on paving projects, maintaining safety at all times.

• Operate heavy construction equipment on paving projects.
• Maintain safety standards and hazard awareness.
• Conduct daily routine inspections on assigned equipment and report defects to supervisors.
• Work safely in all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, wet, etc.).
• Collaborate with experienced operators to meet daily project goals.
• Work Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend work depending on project schedules.

• 3+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in paving and heavy construction.
• Experience operating equipment with knowledge of paving a variety of projects.
• Ability to get on and off equipment using three points of contact.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and safety precautions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
