Heavy Civil Construction Superintendent

Responsibilities- Direct field personnel and administer good construction safety practices.
- Communicate effectively with all on‑site activities and project management staff.
- Oversee grading projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Track daily quantities and cubic yards of material moved.
- Identify obstacles and provide practical solutions.
- Train and evaluate new operators.
- Read and interpret plan sets, soil reports, and project specifications.
- Implement dust control requirements and best practices.
- 2+ years of grading and earthwork construction experience.
- Previous supervisory experience in heavy civil construction.
- Ability to travel to project locations throughout the Southwest United States and Arizona, including long‑term assignments.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Technical knowledge of earthmoving equipment (scrapers, excavators, dozers, etc.).
- Strong safety awareness; must pass a clean MVR, drug screen, and meet physical requirements (lift and carry up to 50lbs, sit/stand/kneel/walk in rough terrain, work in all weather conditions).
