Experienced Asphalt Screed Operator
Rummel Construction is seeking an experienced Asphalt Screed Operator. You should have experience working on paving projects and have the ability to work safely at all times. This is a safety sensitive position that is responsible for operating heavy construction equipment with knowledge of hazards, safety precautions, awareness, and of paving for a variety of projects.
You'll be working with scores of experienced operators who put safety first and work together to meet the day's goals. We take pride in taking care of our equipment and making sure our employees are set up to be successful. We typically work Monday-Friday, though some project schedules may require weekend work.
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG TEST. THC IS NOT ACCEPTED AS WE ARE A FEDERAL CONTRACTOR.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
- Get off and on equipment using 3 points of contact
- Conduct daily routine inspections on assigned equipment and report defects to supervisors
- Work safely in all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, wet, etc.)
- Approx. 3+ years' experience in the construction industry Preferred
- Experience in paving and heavy construction with knowledge of paving a variety of projects
