Project Manager - Custom Homes

Overview

This company is looking for an experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of luxury custom residential builds ranging from $5M to $10M. This role sits at the center of everything — client communication, subcontractor coordination, budget management, and field oversight. You will be the person keeping the project calm, organized, and moving forward from preconstruction through final delivery. • Manage all phases of luxury custom home construction from preconstruction planning through final walkthrough and client handoff
• Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating subcontractors, procurement, and site activities to keep work on track
• Track job costs, manage project budgets, and maintain P&L reporting using Quick Books
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, interior designers, and trade partners throughout each project
• Oversee subcontractor scoping, scheduling, coordination, and performance on active builds
• Conduct regular site walks and quality control inspections to protect design intent and finish standards
• Review and approve subcontractor invoices, change orders, and purchase orders
• Organize allowances, selections, and procurement timelines during preconstruction to reduce surprises in the field
• Identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedule, budget, or client experience
• Uphold a standard of clear communication, field accountability, and craftsmanship on every project

• 5+ years of project management experience in luxury custom residential construction
• Proven track record managing high-end builds in the $5M–$10M range
• Proficiency in Quick Books for job costing, budget tracking, and P&L reporting
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Experience coordinating with architects, interior designers, and outside consultants
• Excellent communication skills with clients, subcontractors, and internal leadership
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail across multiple active projects
• Familiarity with the Scottsdale and Paradise Valley luxury residential market preferred

• Base salary is $90k - $115k depending on experience
