HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATORRummel Construction is seeking a seasoned Heavy Equipment Operator to operate heavy construction equipment in cut/fill and mass excavation projects. This safety‑sensitive role requires working safely at all times, operating side‑by‑side with an experienced team, and ensuring equipment is maintained and inspected daily.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Operate heavy construction equipment with knowledge of hazards, safety precautions, and cut/fill operations for a variety of projects.
- Conduct daily routine inspections on assigned equipment and report defects to supervisors.
- Use three points of contact when getting on and off equipment.
- Work safely on 2:1 slopes and in all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, wet, etc.).
- Collaborate with other operators to meet daily project goals.
- Be available for Monday–Friday work; occasional Saturday work may be required.
- Approximately 3+ years of experience in the construction industry.
- Experience in earthmoving and heavy construction with knowledge of cut/fill operations from a variety of projects.
- Willingness to travel as project schedules dictate.
