National Calibration is a leading calibration laboratory dedicated to providing accurate and reliable calibration services to a diverse range of industries. We are committed to excellence in customer service and are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team.

Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative will be the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience from equipment receipt to shipment. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Equipment Logging:
    Accurately log incoming equipment into our tracking system, ensuring all necessary information is captured.
  • Equipment Receiving:
    Receive and inspect incoming equipment, verifying completeness and noting any discrepancies.
  • Equipment Checkout:
    Manage equipment checkout and return processes for clients, maintaining accurate records.
Client Communication
  • Respond to client inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide updates on equipment status and calibration progress.
  • Proactively communicate with clients regarding any issues or delays.
Phone Support
  • Answer incoming calls, provide information and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
Administrative Support
  • Maintain accurate records, file documents, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in a technical or industrial setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to learn and utilize specialized software and tracking systems.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and move packages, up to a certain weight.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a calibration laboratory or related industry.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems.
