The Manager, UI/UX leads the team responsible for creating simple, effective, and engaging digital experiences that balance user needs, Brand Ambassador needs, and business objectives. The role sets UX/UI direction across the consumer shopping experience and the tools Brand Ambassadors use to run their businesses.
This player-coach owns the Plexus Design System, leads a small team of designers and content specialists, and partners with Product, Marketing, IT, and business stakeholders to set priorities and deliver measurable improvements. The Manager remains hands‑on when needed and uses research, testing, analytics, and design quality assurance to guide decisions.
The Employee Value PropositionThis leader will build and govern the Plexus Design System, drive adoption across digital products, and shape both consumer commerce and complex field‑facing tools. The role offers meaningful ownership rather than stewardship of an established system.
Plexus has the traffic to test ideas quickly and an engaged field that provides direct access to users. The Manager can connect design decisions to conversion, activation, retention, and revenue while staying close to the work and presenting directly to senior leaders.
Key Performance Objectives- Launch and drive adoption of the Plexus Design System. Deliver version one with core components, usage guidance in Figma and code, accessibility standards, and a governance model. By year‑end, it is used on priority digital experiences, is the default for new work, and reduces design‑to‑development rework.
- Improve a critical business metric through design. With Product and Marketing, select and baseline a flagship funnel such as checkout, subscription or autoship management, or new Brand Ambassador onboarding. Use research and testing to deliver an agreed, measurable improvement.
- Establish a repeatable research and testing practice. During the first quarter, define baseline UX measures and a practical cadence for user research, usability studies, prototype validation, and A/B testing so material design decisions are supported by evidence.
- Establish the accessibility baseline. Audit priority experiences, create a risk‑based remediation plan, and embed accessibility requirements into the design system, design reviews, development handoffs, and definition of done.
- Serves as the primary UX/UI partner for business, Product, Marketing, and IT, translating business and user needs into clear priorities and design solutions.
- Turns strategy, requirements, and user stories into intuitive information architecture, flows, layouts, interactions, and end‑to‑end experiences.
- Builds stakeholder alignment, communicates recommendations and tradeoffs, and presents priorities, progress, and outcomes to leadership.

- Design System and Standards
- Owns the roadmap, governance, development, adoption, and evolution of the Plexus Design System across customer‑and field‑facing products.
- Establishes reusable components, patterns, usage guidance, accessibility requirements, and contribution standards in Figma and code.
- Maintains UX/UI standards and review practices that improve consistency, usability, scalability, and delivery efficiency.
- Establishes a user‑centered practice that incorporates research, usability testing, prototyping, A/B testing, analytics, and competitive insight.
