Overview
The academic department of urology and the University Medical Group are excited to welcome a Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgeon (URPS) to join their innovative, patient-focused team of nine urologists. There is an excellent opportunity to thrive within the urology clinical and training program which touts a high-volume of minimally invasive surgical cases, such as repairing bladder defects, pelvic floor repair, and sling repair.
One can expect to grow a patient base quickly, with mentorship readily available. The new urologist will hold a faculty appointment with the University commensurate with experience while enjoying opportunities for clinical and basic science research based on interest.
- Level 1 Trauma Center, 649 licensed beds
- Features a new state-of-the-art 15,000 square-foot Urology Clinic featuring 16 exam rooms, 6 procedure rooms with digital cystoscopes and 2 Urodynamic rooms
- A new 670,000 square-foot hospital tower, with 24 new operating rooms
- Renowned for excellence in patient care, biomedical research, teaching, and community service
- Established Urology Program: 9 established urologists and 5 APPs
- Brand new operating rooms with dedicated cystoscopy rooms
- DaVinci DV5, Xi and SP robots available
- Call schedule: 7 days call monthly with resident coverage
- Clinical care of patients with complex kidney stones
- Cases/Procedures include percutaneous nephrolithotomy, ureteroscopy, treatment of BPH
- Patients per day: 20-22
- OR time – block available. Clinic days vs OR day 2.5-3 days clinic, 2 OR
- Mentorship from experienced URPS subspecialist
- Opportunity to teach residents
- Research is available, but not required
