Special Ed Teacher | Scottsdale, Arizona

This full-time Special Education teaching opportunity in Scottsdale, AZ, offers a contract position through the end of the  school year. The role focuses on delivering specialized instruction in a high school setting within a large school district serving diverse student populations.

Candidates should possess a valid Arizona secondary teaching license along with a current K-12 Special Education certificate. Experience supporting students with emotional disabilities and other eligibility needs is essential, especially those facing challenges with prosocial and self-regulatory skills. The district values educators who demonstrate cultural awareness of at-risk, limited English proficient, and ethnically diverse learners.

• Valid AZ secondary teaching license and K-12 Special Education certificate
• Experience working with students with emotional disabilities and related eligibility categories
• Knowledge of special education federal, state, and district compliance requirements
• Strong understanding of student behavioral and social-emotional needs
• Willingness to engage in Essential Elements of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) professional development
• Current IVP fingerprint clearance card

• Developing and implementing individualized educational programs (IEPs) aligned with district and federal guidelines
• Supporting students in developing prosocial, self-regulatory, and academic skills
• Collaborating with school personnel and families to promote student success
• Maintaining accurate documentation and participating in required trainings
