Position Overview
Full‑time faculty member to teach welding and related skills at Arizona State Prison – Florence Complex. Responsible for providing quality education and serving as teacher, mentor, facilitator, and evaluator of learning.
Teaching Responsibilities- Instruction of SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, oxy‑fuel, plasma cutting, layout and design.
- Deliver lectures and lab instruction, monitor student progress, supervise projects, develop curriculum, manage attendance, and perform other duties that support student learning and the college mission.
- Teach 15‑20 inmates each term.
- Five years of occupational experience and current certification from the American Welding Society, or willingness to obtain certification within the first year.
- Must be able to pass and maintain Arizona Department of Corrections security clearance.
- Salary:
Entry level $66,866.40, up to $82,285.00 based on education and experience. - Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid vacation/sick leave, life insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement for employee and dependents.
All candidates must undergo background verification and meet the standard level security clearance required by the Department of Corrections.
