This role is not about teaching. It is about motivation.

The most meaningful support you can offer a student who reaches 99% of their target is to insist it is not yet complete. If that principle causes hesitation, this role is not for you. At Alpha, academic learning occurs through AI-driven applications. No classroom lectures. No physical textbooks. Half of your day is spent facilitating one-hour life-skills workshops covering topics like public speaking, focus, and constructive feedback. The remaining half involves meeting with students individually or in small groups, analyzing their performance via Coachbot data, and driving each toward 100% completion of weekly app-based learning targets.

You will not follow a rigid script—workshops provide a foundation, but top performers customize them and create new content when needed.

Success in a given quarter means every student in your group completes their weekly app objectives, passes the Test2

Pass for all life-skills workshops, and 90% or more report they value your coaching. Falling short on any of these three metrics means the role's expectations have not been met. In your first year, you will master the operational playbook; once you demonstrate your ability to uphold standards, advancement to Lead Guide becomes possible, where you mentor new hires while continuing direct student work.

If you prefer conventional teaching methods, need fully developed curriculum delivered to you, or view warmth and rigor as incompatible, this position will not suit you. If your background includes athletic coaching, camp counseling, tutoring where you refused to accept a student's surrender, or performance work that commanded the attention of young children, the final interview stage is a full on-campus day coaching actual Alpha students.

• Facilitating one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 student groups on subjects including public speaking, focus, feedback, and other transferable competencies, modifying the standard playbook and creating new sessions when you identify unmet needs
• Conducting daily individual and small-group motivation sessions designed to drive every student to 100% completion of their weekly app targets, leveraging Coachbot analytics, Alpha's incentive structures (campus currency, performance leaderboards), and your personal rapport with each student to overcome reluctance
• Delivering the Test2
  
  Pass (Alpha's mastery-based evaluation) for each life skill, then coaching students who fall short until they achieve passing performance
• Adjusting your approach across a broad age spectrum, from kindergarteners requiring high energy and kinesthetic engagement to eighth graders needing candid dialogue and personal accountability
• Serving as the adult who maintains high expectations and the adult students trust; warmth creates the foundation for challenge, and challenge communicates your confidence in their potential

• Delivering instruction at a whiteboard; academic content is embedded in the applications, not your direct teaching
• Developing curriculum from the ground up; you activate an established playbook through energy and narrative skill
• Passively monitoring students on devices; motivation in this model is engaged, individualized, and sustained
• Reducing a weekly target to enable a student to meet it; when a student falls behind, the solution is supporting the student, not adjusting the standard
• Assigning grades to homework, conducting standardized test preparation, or handling parent outreach;
  Campus Leads manage parent-facing responsibilities, and the other tasks do not apply here
