Mission Control Trainer
As a Trainer in Mission Control, your role will be to demonstrate, teach, and assess day-to-day tasks for both new and established learners on the Mission Control team. You will work closely with operators, Training Coordinators, Project Managers, and functional managers to ensure learners are receiving and integrating standardized operating procedures into their performance.
RequiredSkills & Qualifications
- At least 3 months as a fully trained individual on the Mission Control team
- 1-3 years of experience in the AV space
- Knowledge of Mission Control procedures and responsibilities
- Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
- Proven ability to problem solve and improve operational efficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical issues to support trainees
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Flexible schedule to accommodate training events
- Willing to travel to different locations for training support up to 25% of their time
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Must comply with the Substance Abuse Policy
- Prior work experience at [client] or in [client's Industry]
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with Google Workspace collaboration tools such as Google Slides, Sheets, Docs, and Forms
- Experience in teaching, instructing, and/or training
- Previous experience in a supervisory role
- Provide dedicated training support to new hires and experienced operators through classroom facilitation, demonstrating, coaching, and providing feedback on day-to-day operating procedures
- Review daily performance feedback and address any training deficiencies escalated by team instructors and Training Coordinator and/or business stakeholders
- Grade hands-on assessments, including on-the-ground and simulated training sessions and provide feedback to Training Coordinators
- Conduct formal audits of operator performance for both new learners and experienced operators
- Occasionally fill in for operators on Service and R&D missions when they are pulled for training sessions
- Assist with training material updates as needed, and review new training material
- Work with Training Coordinators to identify areas of confusion or discrepancy in the training curriculum
- Take part in unique validation and testing missions as needed
- Fulfill an 8-hour minimum requirement per month, acting as an operator on service missions to keep knowledge and performance of SOPs proficient
