The most meaningful support you can offer a student who reaches 99% of their weekly target is to hold them accountable for the final percentage. Not because you lack empathy, but because you trust their capacity to finish, and compromising that standard represents the true setback.

Your role is not academic instruction. At Alpha, students master core subjects through adaptive AI-powered learning platforms. No traditional lectures. No textbooks. No whiteboard instruction. Motivation and life skills—typically relegated to the periphery in conventional schools—constitute your entire mandate here.

Consider a typical Tuesday. You spend half the day facilitating one-hour workshops for a K-8 cohort focused on public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback exchange. The remaining hours are dedicated to individual and small-group sessions with those same students, where you analyze their Coachbot data and drive each toward 100% completion of weekly app objectives, leveraging school currency, leaderboards, and the trust you've established to overcome resistance.

Your quarterly success reduces to three metrics: every student in your cohort completes their weekly app goals, every student demonstrates mastery on the Test2

Pass assessment for each workshop, and 90% or higher report they value working with you. Falling short on any single metric means the role has not been fulfilled.

The reward arrives the day a student who insisted in September they couldn't do math requests a higher goal.

This is a full-time, in-person position at an Alpha campus. We hire nationally, so job postings may appear in nearby cities where we do not yet operate.

• Facilitating one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 cohorts covering public speaking, focus, and constructive feedback practices
• Conducting daily individual and small-group motivation sessions designed to drive every student to 100% completion of weekly app goals, informed by Coachbot analytics and Alpha's incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards)
• Delivering the Test2
  
  Pass mastery assessment for each life skill, then providing additional coaching to any student who does not pass until mastery is achieved
• Refining the workshop playbook and creating new sessions as needed to ensure content resonates with both kindergarteners and 8th graders
• Serving as both the adult who maintains high expectations and the adult students voluntarily confide in

• Delivering whiteboard lectures, designing math and reading curricula, or grading assignments; academic content is delivered through the apps
• Conducting standardized test preparation or being accountable for class-wide test performance
• Managing parent conferences, correspondence, and concerns; campus leadership handles all parent communication
• Managing behavior for 30 students simultaneously; cohorts are intentionally small and behavior intervention is one-on-one
• Passively monitoring students at computers; motivation work here is hands-on and relational

Guarantee that every student in your K-8 cohort achieves their weekly learning objectives, demonstrates mastery of each life skill, and concludes the year affirming they enjoyed school.

• Bachelor's degree in any field
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with K-8 (elementary and middle school) students: classroom instruction, tutoring, athletic coaching, camp leadership, or youth programming
• Comfortable allowing adaptive learning software to handle academic instruction while you focus on motivation and life-skills coaching
