The most meaningful support you can offer a student who reaches 99% of their weekly target is to insist they finish. Not out of indifference, but because you know they can meet the standard, and compromising on it is the true disservice.

You are not a classroom teacher. At Alpha, academic learning happens through AI-driven adaptive platforms. No lectures. No textbooks. No whiteboards. Motivation and life skills—typically afterthoughts in traditional schools—are your entire focus.

Consider a typical Tuesday. Half your day is spent facilitating one-hour workshops for a K-8 group on topics like public speaking, focus, and constructive feedback. The other half you meet individually or in small groups with those same students, review their Coachbot data, and guide each one toward 100% completion of their weekly app targets, leveraging school currency, leaderboards, and the trust you've established to overcome resistance.

Your quarterly performance hinges on three metrics: every student in your cohort completes their weekly app goals, every student passes the Test2

Pass mastery check for each workshop, and at least 90% report that they love you. Fall short on any one of these, and you've missed the mark.

The reward is witnessing the student who insisted in September that they couldn't do math ask you to increase their goal.

This is a full-time, on-site position at an Alpha campus. We recruit nationwide, so job postings may appear in nearby cities where we do not yet have a location.

• Conducting daily one-on-one and small-group sessions that motivate every student to reach 100% of their weekly app goals, using Coachbot analytics and Alpha's incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards)
• Delivering the Test2
  
  Pass mastery assessment for each life skill, then re-coaching students who don't pass until mastery is achieved
• Refining the workshop playbook and creating new sessions when you identify a need, ensuring content resonates with both kindergarteners and eighth graders
• Serving as both the adult who maintains the standard and the adult your students trust and confide in

• Teaching at a whiteboard, creating math or reading lesson plans, or grading homework; academic content is delivered through the apps
• Conducting standardized test prep or being responsible for class-wide test results
• Managing parent conferences, emails, or complaints; campus leadership handles all parent communication
• Controlling large groups of 30 students; cohorts are small and behavioral support is delivered one-on-one
• Passively supervising students at computers; motivation here is hands-on and relational

Ensure every student in your K-8 cohort completes their weekly learning goals, achieves mastery in each life skill, and finishes the year saying they loved school.

• Bachelor's degree in any field
• At least 3 years of direct experience working with K-8 (elementary and middle school) students: classroom instruction, tutoring, coaching athletics, camp leadership, or youth programming
• Comfortable allowing adaptive learning software to handle academic instruction while you focus on motivation and life-skills coaching
• A track record of high achievement - academic, athletic, or professional that made upholding rigorous standards second nature rather than performative
• Stage presence capable of engaging a room of 12-year-olds for an hour without needing to raise your voice
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship

• Background in youth athletics coaching, debate, theater, camp leadership, or after-school programs where you were directly accountable for students achieving a defined goal
• Experience delivering social-emotional learning (SEL) or durable-skills curriculum
• A specific student you can describe who transformed from disengaged or resistant to fully committed, and the exact approach you used
• Regular use of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini
