The Design Engineer is responsible for the engineering design, analysis, and documentation of fabric and Clear Span structural systems for Will Scot. This is a highly technical, senior-level role focused on developing engineered structural solutions using Solid Works, supporting both existing systems and new structural concepts from initial design through production and field deployment.

This role works closely with Product Management, Manufacturing, Operations, and external engineering partners to ensure structures are safe, code-compliant, manufacturable, and scalable.

Design fabric and Clear Span structural systems using Solid Works, including frames, connections, anchoring, and integration with modular or temporary structures.

Develop complete 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings suitable for fabrication and installation.

Support structural layouts, load paths, and system configurations for site-specific applications.

Create and maintain detailed drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.

• Develop Bills of Material (BOMs), hardware schedules, and fabrication details.
• Support tooling, fixturing, and manufacturing documentation as required.

Associate’s degree in Engineering or related discipline required (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

10+ years of experience in design engineering, preferably involving:

• Fabric structures
• Clear Span / tensioned membrane systems
• Structural steel or aluminum systems
• Temporary or modular structures
