Advanced Space Systems Engineer (US Citizenship REQUIRED)

Rate Range
: $60/hr - $70/hr W2 (no health benefits while on contract, an hour worked is an hour paid)

: 9/80 (every other Friday off)

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Our systems typically include digital signal processing algorithms that are implemented in hardware and software for space-based systems. In addition to the general systems engineering qualification stated above, highly qualified candidates have work experience with digital signal processing algorithm development for the statistical analysis of signal parameter measurements utilizing techniques from Detection & Estimation Theory, Random Processes Analysis, and Communications and Information Theory.

• Experience in Python
• Experience with Small Sats and Cube Sats development
• Hardware Prototype Development, 'Flat Sat', 'Hardware Integration', 'Hardware in-the-loop' Systems Integrations and Test Experience
• Electrical Engineering and/or Systems Engineering, particularly with communications or digital signal processing focus
• Experience with Agile hardware, software, or firmware development, Dev Ops, CI/CD
• Experience with Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)/SySML/Magic Draw/Cameo
• Experience in Space Payloads Design, Development or I&T
• Working knowledge of MATLAB for DSP using related toolboxes, background with Radar Processing, DSP for mitigating/processing RF effects, Monte Carlo analysis or Phased Array/Beam Forming (plus)
• Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards
• Clear understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools
• Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity

• Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
