Our Construction Management team is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector for work on various transportation projects. This position requires extensive knowledge of Bridge, Roads & Highway construction inspection. The role will be on-site in the field office and involve monitoring field investigations, verifying and documenting the contractor’s findings, and promptly reporting the information to the Resident Engineer. The position will be based out of our office in Phoenix, AZ and will be expected to work in various areas throughout Arizona.

Responsibilities
  • Complete daily inspection reports.
  • Confirm traffic control complies with City Standards.
  • Assure general compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Assure documentation and accuracy of daily findings.
  • Document daily contractor manpower and equipment.
  • Read and understand contract documents, including plans and specifications.
  • Provide technical assistance to other Inspectors and Resident Engineers.
  • Abide by and enforce construction safety rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related field required.
  • EIT required; PE license preferred.
  • ATTI, ACI and ATSSA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience with complex roadway and bridge construction concepts and practices.
  • Experience overseeing company and local agency staff and subconsultants, and ability to work effectively with Resident Engineers and clients.
  • Ability to write effective and concise reviews, comments, and reports.
  • Ability to articulately work with contractors and team members to resolve field issues.
  • Previous construction management experience for ADOT projects, or projects with ADOT oversight, is preferred.
