W2 hourly rate: $29.72 to 33.44 DOE
* plus shift differential

As an Engineering Technician in this team you'll be working with Engineering, Operations Support and individuals in other departments, to support engineering activities including design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment.

Your day to day activities may entail performing the following:

• Interpreting basic engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics
• Constructing, modifying, debugging, troubleshooting, calibrating, testing and adjusting a variety of tools, equipment and systems
• Conducting, analyzing and documenting statistically based experiments to define process parameters
• Implementing and documenting complex solutions for process improvement
• Designing and constructing basic tooling and fixtures to accomplish unique tasks
• Organizing, analyzing and interpreting data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommends resolution/process improvement

• An Active DoD Secret (or higher level) Clearance.
• An Associate's degree in related discipline or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience -- No degree? We will also consider 6 years of relevant experience with a HS diploma
• Solid knowledge and proficiency in the use of fabrication tools
• Ability to fabricate complex hardware
• Solid knowledge of generally accepted technical theory
