Missile Tracking Systems Engineer – Scottsdale, AZ
Pay Estimated: $64.60-$69.60/Hour
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities- Development of digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms implemented in hardware and/or software for space-based systems
- Application of advanced DSP techniques, including:
- Detection & Estimation Theory
- Random Processes Analysis
- Communications & Information Theory
- Statistical analysis of signal parameter measurements
- Experience with radar signal processing and RF signal conditioning/mitigation
- Familiarity with phased array systems and beamforming techniques
- Use of MATLAB (DSP toolboxes) for modeling, simulation, and algorithm development
- Experience with Monte Carlo analysis for system performance evaluation
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or STEM field OR Master’s degree plus 6 years of related experience
- 5+ years of recent experience designing and developing complex algorithm-based systems
- Programming / Tools:
- MLAB
- Python
- Space Systems
Experience: - Small Sats / Cube Sats
- Space payload design, development, or integration & test (I&T)
- Hardware & Integration:
- Hardware prototyping (e.g., Flat Sat environments)
- Hardware integration and test (I&T)
- Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems
- Systems Engineering / Digital Engineering:
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- SysML
- Magic Draw / Cameo
- Requirements management tools
- Development Methodologies:
- Agile development (hardware/software/firmware)
- Dev Ops / CI/CD pipelines
