Missile Tracking Systems Engineer

Pay Estimated: $87.87 - $92.87 / Hour

This position is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Space/Defense company. The role can be worked from Huntsville, AL;
Scottsdale, AZ;
Grand Forks, ND; or Chantilly, VA. In this job you will support the US Space Force Space Development Agency (SDA) Ground, Management and Integration (GMI) program responsible for developing and deploying state‑of‑the‑art ground operational systems for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA); integration, testing and maintenance of the ground entry points, operations centers, enterprise test and checkout capabilities.
- Systems engineering that includes decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, and system design behaviors
- Pre‑planned or ad‑hoc scheduling and situational awareness of satellites and payload capabilities to track missiles
- Analysis and fusion of missile tracking data provided by satellite to the ground for processing and rapidly providing and disseminating the information
- Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Active Department of Defense SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or STEM and 8+ years of experience, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience.
- Prefer recent designing and developing systems that can solve complex problems using algorithms
- Prefer recent algorithm development and tuning for specific mission parameters
- Recent experience with missile tracking systems design and architecture, and sensor fusion techniques
- Recent experience designing logic, assessing and scheduling satellite services to track missiles
