What You'll Do
You'll lead estimates for some of the most challenging and rewarding projects in the region - from highways and dams to mining and rail. You'll work closely with subject matter experts, project managers, and field teams to ensure every bid is strategic, competitive, and executable.
- Own the bid process from start to finish
- Analyze drawings, specs, geotech reports, and site conditions
- Develop cost strategies that win work and build trust
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for best value
- Mentor junior estimators and contribute to a collaborative team
- Attend site walks, pre-bid meetings, and scope reviews
- Support handoff to operations and stay involved post-award
What You Bring
- 5+ years of heavy civil estimating experience
- Proven ability to bid $150M+ projects solo
- Expertise in earthwork, stormwater, wet utilities, bridges, and structures
- Strong command of HCSS Heavy Bid, Bluebeam, MS Office; AGTEK and P6 preferred
- Deep understanding of equipment, production rates, and field methods
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for mentoring
- Preference for in-office work and team engagement
