Job Summary
Our TYLin Water Sector is seeking a Senior Water Engineer/Project Manager to join our Phoenix team. The Senior Water Engineer/Project Manager will lead the delivery of water, wastewater, and stormwater engineering services to a variety of clients in the Southwest region. Near‑term assignments could include water, wastewater, stormwater infrastructure and facilities planning and design; studies and modeling; preparation of engineering reports;
support services during construction; and other related assignments including business and client development.
- Organize and lead teams to pursue and secure water, wastewater, and stormwater opportunities, including positioning with local clients and leading the development of proposals.
- Lead engineering design of complex assignments (facilities and pipeline condition assessment and rehabilitation design, planning studies for future capacity, hydraulic calculations, development of technical specifications and drawings, development of opinions of probable construction cost, task proposals, and requests for proposals).
- Develop technical reports, studies, and memoranda to support engineering analysis as deliverables to clients.
- Manage projects and resources: track budgets, set schedules, coordinate staffing, coordinate with the client, invoicing and payments.
- Mentor and support staff growth through professional and technical oversight.
- Present project deliverables to clients as required.
- B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (required); M.S. degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering consulting, performing studies, design, and construction services for municipal clients.
- Professional Engineering (PE) licensure (required).
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Experience preparing contract documents, including drawings and specifications for complex water and wastewater projects.
- Experience coordinating with interdisciplinary teams (structural, geotechnical, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control, architecture, etc.).
- Client‑focused, self‑starter with commitment to innovation and ethical, fair, sustainable practices.
- Demonstrated collaboration in diverse and inclusive teams.
- Strong technical and entrepreneurial competencies; desire to expand existing client relationships and develop new ones.
