Are you ready to lead the technology and innovation behind how electrical systems get built? We're looking for a VDC & Solutions Manager to drive our BIM/VDC coordination, standard products development, and prefabrication strategy - helping our teams build smarter, faster, and with fewer surprises in the field.
What You'll Do- Lead VDC/BIM coordination for electrical systems across multiple active projects
- Build and maintain detailed 2D & 3D models using Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD MEP
- Run clash detection and resolution with other trades in Navisworks Manage
- Partner with preconstruction and estimating on model-based takeoffs
- Set and enforce VDC standards, templates, and workflows company wide
- Train and mentor drafters, detailers, and field staff on tools and best practices
- Represent the company in coordination meetings with GCs and trade partners
- Produce prefab drawings and installation documents that keep field crews moving
- Oversee field layout coordination through our Layout Specialist
- Drive R&D on standard products, including how-to videos and continuous improvement
- Manage the Engineered Solutions team's Kanban board and weekly sprint planning
- 5+ years of BIM or VDC experience, ideally in electrical or MEP construction
- Strong hands-on skills in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP, and BIM 360 (or similar)
- Solid understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial construction
- Experience with clash detection, model-based estimating, and constructability review
- Strong communication and collaboration skills — you'll work across field, office, and ownership
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related field preferred
- BIM-related certifications (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) a plus
This role has direct reports, including two Layout Specialists and BIM Modeler - a great fit for someone ready to build and grow a team, not just run software.
