Standard Job Description
Responsible for sustainment program support to indicate integration, comprehensive logistics, sustainment plan creation and support requirements for the lifecycle of the product. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. May serve as the point of contact for logistics with the customer and provide advice or training on system design and specifications.
Functions as the internal design interface between support system, concepts and specifications. Performs analysis of the sustainment system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Other analysis may include interface studies, timeline and requirements allocation, effectiveness, verification, cost/risk, and supportability.

May serve as the point of contact for logistics with the customer and provide advice or training on system design and specifications.

You will be the Logistics Engineer for the MSE/AEGIS Integration Team. Our team ensures the Navy’s AEGIS MSE system is field ready, maintainable, and fully supported from concept through deployment by delivering logistics data, technical publications, and training that meet GEIA HB 0007 standards.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Logistics Engineer you will be responsible for creating and maintaining logistics product data that drives sustainment, while partnering with technical publications and training groups to produce compliant manuals and training kits. You’ll work directly with engineers, suppliers, and customers to design repair procedures, spare part strategies, and support equipment solutions that keep the system mission capable.
Your Responsibilities Will Include- Researching and authoring maintenance technical manuals—installation, test, repair, and troubleshooting—using drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams for field and depot level work.
- Producing Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) records, Integrated Support Plans (ISP), and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) guidance; preparing and leading related briefings.
- Defining supply, Packaging Handling Shipping Transportation (PHST) and transportation coordination requirements.
- Planning and executing maintenance ability demonstrations for customers.
- Analyzing support concept plans and shaping logistics programs to meet company, customer, and government sustainment goals.
- Recommending field/depot spares, repair parts, and support equipment; reviewing designs and collaborating with engineers, subcontractors, and program managers to develop repair procedures and tooling.
- Proposing design or process changes that improve supportability and performance.
- Reviewing handbooks, technical publications, and training material for technical accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinating tool, equipment, and spare parts logistics for deployed units and test events.
- Inspecting field and depot repair actions and suggesting corrective measures.
- Facilitating coordination meetings, reviews, and configuration control activities (ECP, CSB, CCB).
- Participating in Integrated Product Teams, Corrective Action Boards, and Failure Review Boards as needed.
- Supplying logistics insight for proposals, design reviews, and test efforts.
