We're seeking an experienced Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity supporting advanced defense technology programs in Scottsdale, AZ.
This position cannot accommodate third-party/C2C arrangements
. Candidates must be willing to work as a W-2 consultant through Revolution Technologies.
This is a 12-month contract with a flexible hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
.
Candidates must currently be local to the Scottsdale area OR be willing to relocate to the area at their own expense. No relocation, travel, per diem, or other expenses will be paid or reimbursed.
An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
What You'll DoYou'll design, develop, analyze, and test sophisticated digital electronic hardware and systems used in mission‑critical applications. The role includes hands‑on digital hardware design as well as technical leadership and mentoring of less‑experienced engineers.
Responsibilities include developing complex digital hardware designs, performing schematic capture, supporting PCB design and analysis, evaluating signal integrity and crosstalk, and working with microprocessors, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and System‑on‑Chip technologies.
What We're Looking For- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years
- Schematic capture experience
- Experience with controlled-impedance designs and blind micro-vias
- Ability to analyze and test signal integrity and crosstalk
- Experience with microprocessors, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and So Cs
- Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership
Experience with Mentor design tools, high-reliability or space systems, Worst Case Analysis, and Stress Analysis is highly desirable.
