We are looking for a highly motivated Staff Accountant to work with the US Finance Team located in Scottsdale Arizona.
Job DescriptionRole Overview & Key Responsibilities
- Ensure financial policies and procedures are adhered to in accordance with TAE Aerospace financial practices.
- Reporting.
- Preparation of various journal entries
- Prepare allocated General Ledger Reconciliations and analyze findings.
- Review P&L for assigned cost centers each month for accuracy and completeness.
- Interact with other TAE stakeholders to resolve balances between AP / AR intercompany accounts monthly.
- Prepare monthly capital expenditure reporting to budget.
- Prepare working capital reporting and analysis and drive accountability.
- Analysis.
- Supporting Finance Business Partners in the review of Commercial closed work orders, shop orders and resulting margin.
- Support the annual financial audit, as required.
- Assist operations and other functional departments with finance related queries.
- Review of open POs, good receipted but not invoiced (GRNI) reports, aged WIP, preliminary supplier invoice reports and shipped not invoiced reports, to ensure accurate reporting.
- Support the Finance Manager and Senior Financial Accountant.
- Other duties as required in the course of employment.

- Active curiosity in understanding the financial data and interest in analyzing what is driving the output / trends. Critical and analytical thinking.
- Self-motivated with excellent follow through and a strong ability to prioritize and multitask within tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Desire to partner and succeed as a team within the organization, both within the Finance team and supporting other Functions across the TAE business - establishing and maintaining cross-functional relationships is a key success factor.
- Ability to assessprocesses, tasks and working papers with the aim of continuously improving the process, increasing efficiency / effectiveness and streamlining turnaround times without impacting quality and accuracy.
- Strong business acumen, including building strong understanding of TAE's customers and vendors and overall business relationships, as well as an understanding of internal controls and GAAP.
- Ability to ask open ended questions, integrate data from multiple sources to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of / exposure to integrated ERP System
- Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to discern the appropriate mode of communication for the situation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, plus 1 year of experience in general accounting position.
- Experience in manufacturing, inventory, repair and overhaul, and cost accounting is a plus.
- Achievement or progress toward a professional accounting qualification is a plus
