The base salary for this role ranges from USD 82,800 to USD 157,200 per year
, depending on geographic location, job-related skills, qualifications, and experience.
Eligibility for incentive compensation and additional benefits may apply, subject to applicable program terms and performance criteria.
Role OverviewThis role leads tax advisory services for high-net-worth clients and closely held businesses while managing and mentoring a growing team of tax professionals. The position focuses on client relationship management, complex tax planning, compliance review, and talent development within a collaborative wealth management environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, promoting a high standard of client‑centric service and technical expertise
- Lead client relationships and retention efforts, ensuring timely delivery and effective resolution of client needs
- Manage tax consulting and planning projects, including charitable giving analyses, private foundation minimum payout calculations, and other tax and financial planning initiatives
- Review tax returns, quarterly and annual income tax projections, estimated tax vouchers, extension filings, and related work papers and financial statements
- Understand client business and financial needs and identify appropriate value‑added services
- Collaborate with peers and leadership to develop and present strategic tax planning solutions for high‑net‑worth individuals and closely held businesses
- Support and guide research on complex technical tax matters and regulatory updates
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuing education, team development, and mentoring junior tax associates
- Minimum of 5 years’ tax experience in a public accounting, private accounting, or financial planning environment
- CPA or EA designation preferred
- Experience providing client‑focused tax consulting services to high‑net‑worth individuals, partnerships, trusts, and closely held entities
- Strong technical research skills related to complex tax matters and regulatory changes
- Proficiency with tax compliance software (e.g., CCH, GOSystem preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Demonstrated experience training and mentoring junior staff or interns
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
