Senior Accountant

Vaco is partnering with a company located in North Scottsdale to fill a Senior Accountant role with a path to Controller down the road.

• Lead and manage all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial statements, regulatory compliance, and timely month‑end close across multiple entities.
• Oversee construction‑specific financial processes, including job costing, work‑in‑progress tracking, payroll coordination, bank reporting, and audit support.
• Take a hands‑on approach to maintaining financial systems and controls, handling detailed reconciliations, journal entries, and process management while supervising overall accounting functions.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 5+ years of hands‑on accounting experience is required.
• Construction industry experience is required in order to be considered.
• Advanced Excel is required for this role.
• This role is 5 days onsite, but the hours are flexible.
• Salary $100k-$115k

Compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring is determined based on a wide array of factors including the individual's skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, office location, and other geographic considerations, as well as business and organizational needs. Salary range: $100k-$115k. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
