Overview
We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to join a high-impact APAC Finance team driving regional growth and transformation. This role is ideal for someone looking to accelerate their learning, contribute to building new processes, and thrive in a fast-paced culture. The ideal candidate will work effectively with cross-functional teams, provide accounting guidance for decision-making, manage administrative aspects of client and company projects, track project progress, assist with scheduling and logistics, and communicate proactively with team members and management.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure timely and accurate statutory financial statements compliance for an assigned portfolio of APAC entities
- Build relationships and manage service levels with external vendors responsible for financial statement preparation; review outsourced partners' work
- Coordinate and manage audit processes with statutory auditors
- Collaborate with Tax Teams on Corporate Tax and VAT return filings
- Prepare and/or review tax‑related balance sheet reconciliations monthly and quarterly for US GAAP close
- Lead projects to optimize and transform the statutory compliance process, including identifying gaps, and supporting design, testing, and rollout of new tools and processes
- Track and coordinate activities, status updates, and planning for APAC statutory audits while working closely with the Statutory Operations COE team
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners inside and outside Finance to execute Accounting Team objectives, including ad‑hoc financial analysis and special projects
- Serve as primary contract administrator within the Statutory Operations team
- Coordinate end‑to‑end vendor contracting and billing processes, triaging and escalating issues, and ensuring timely resolution
- Work with internal and external cross‑functional partners to design and execute contracting project plans
- Fully own tasks related to contract execution and purchase order issuance, including maintaining status trackers, conducting risk assessments, and reporting
- Serve as the primary vendor‑facing point of contact
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements across the team
- Assist in preparing progress and planning documentation as required
- Attend client and staff meetings related to assigned projects
- Proven experience delivering projects on time under tight deadlines
- Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills; effective team collaborator
- Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency with Google Drive and MS Excel
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Recognized accounting qualification (CA, ACCA)
- 8+ years of relevant experience in a fast-growing multinational or professional services environment (e.g., Big
4) - Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
- Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy
- Experience implementing and improving business processes and systems
- Highly collaborative with excellent communication skills; comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
- Exceptional attention to detail while maintaining strong overall perspective
