Why This Is a Great Opportunity

  • Build a brand-new tax support offering from the ground up and become the go-to person for a fast-growing national platform
  • Work directly with independent advisors and internal partners where your communication skills matter as much as your tax chops
  • Get real ownership and visibility while still having a team around you (CFPs, marketing support, legal partners, ops)
  • Grow your career in a role that can expand quickly as the service line scales nationwide
  • Competitive comp with upside based on impact and growth

Location: Hybrid in Scottsdale, AZ with 1 remote day per week (with potential flexibility for the right person)

Note: Must have 3+ years of hands‑on individual and or business tax experience (public accounting or in‑house). Client‑facing communication is required.

About Our Client

Our client is a national financial services platform supporting independent advisors and agents across the country. They combine asset management, marketing support, and in‑house planning resources to help producers grow and better serve clients — and theyre investing in expanding tax support as a key part of that mission.

Job Description

  • Help launch and grow a centralized tax support function serving advisors and their end clients
  • Prepare and review individual and business tax returns and support planning conversations (as appropriate for your background)
  • Partner closely with advisors, internal teams, and marketing to deliver a high‑touch service experience
  • Gather and organize client information, clarify open items, and translate complex tax topics into plain‑English guidance
  • Improve workflows, templates, and processes as the new tax service line scales
  • Leverage tax technology tools (they recently transitioned to CCH) and help drive adoption and efficiency
  • Support compliance, documentation, and timely filing while maintaining a strong client experience

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in individual and or business tax (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S experience helpful)
  • Comfortable being client‑facing and partnering with non‑tax stakeholders (advisors, producers, internal teams)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a service mindset
  • Tech‑forward and interested in modern tax workflows (CCH experience is a plus)
  • CPA or EA is strongly preferred, but not required if experience is strong

Why You Will Love Working Here

Youll join a growth‑minded team that values communication, initiative, and relationship‑building. This is not a back‑office tax role — its an opportunity to help shape a new offering, influence how it runs, and build a reputation as a trusted partner to advisors and internal leadership.
